Meet Your Instructor.
Jim is an expert in tv mounting with an irrefutable tv mounting certified expertise of 16 years from 2006 till date.
Jim's audiophilic nature has no doubt been a major contributor to the success of his career over the years since inception. This nature, no doubt bolstered his learning ability and caused him to master the art of stereo systems configuration and connection of devices to tv for optimal sound in the 90’s.
Jim has learned various construction trades among which are: drywall, concrete, brickwork, and most recently electrical construction trades. This has allowed him to make precise measurements and have extensive knowledge of the composition of each type of wall and how to accurately identify each wall type.
Like most installers, Jim is an advocate of multi-level self-testing and practicing of acquired knowledge; a belief which compelled him to hone his skills by consistent practice around his own home first, which he then transferred into the field.
In 2015, Jim took up a job of installing satellite tv, which enabled him to become a connoisseur in wall finishing which is an essential part of the tv installing trade. This skill allowed Jim to begin installing electrical outlets from attics when necessary. It also allowed him to learn coaxial and network cable pulling and termination.
Overall, Jim has an extensive background in computer networking, satellite tv installations, pc repair, electrical outlet repair, and replacement as well as adding new outlet locations.
Jim has always been a very neat and organized person. He is a problem solver and a critical thinker. He loves a challenge. Once he sees a project, he immediately puts a plan together to get it done, precisely and up to all codes.
In all, Jim has gained all this knowledge in over 25 years. If it can be done, Jim can do it. Upon the request of his lovely wife, Alice, Jim took a risk and created Connecttech services in 2016. The company was just a side hobby that saw Jim install a tv for friends and family at first. Jim decided to advertise on Thumbtack while he was working as a satellite tv installer for DirecTV. Once Alice saw the calls increasing for his services, she decided to increase the marketing to FB Marketing and Connecttech services became a 10k per month company in a matter of months.
Today, as a result of this achievement Connecttech services decided to create an online course that trains people who are interested and want to see their projects materialize from inception to completion. This training is also for entrepreneurs that want to start up their own tv mounting business.
